DESCRIPTION:The 27 th International Conference Nuclear Energy for New Euro
 pe (NENE) will be held in Portorož from 10-13 September. It will gather pr
 ofessionals dealing with different aspects of nuclear energy from all arou
 nd Europe and worldwide. It attracts around 200 participants from more tha
 n 20 countries. The topics discussed are general and include reactor physi
 cs\, thermal hydraulics\, probabilistic safety assessment\, severe acciden
 ts\, nuclear fusion\, nuclear power plant operation\, nuclear materials\, 
 waste management and new reactor designs. The primary objective of the mee
 ting is to foster international cooperation amongst professionals active i
 n nuclear research and educational institutions\, nuclear vendors\, utilit
 ies and regulatory bodies. Program Registration Portorož\, literally “Port
  of Roses”\, is a coastal resort in the southwestern Slovenia\, and is one
  of the country’s largest tourist areas. It belongs to the coastal municip
 ality of Piran\, located in the north of Adriatic sea.
